The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) received a total of 11,667 complaints about mobile services in the 2025-26 fiscal year, according to its statistics. The highest number of complaints — 4,162 — was about service quality, followed by 1,343 miscellaneous issues, 928 about value-added services (VAS), 736 about internet data speed, and 539 about calls and SMS, across 23 categories from July 2025 to June 2026. The BTRC has resolved 11,362 of these complaints, while 305 remain unresolved. Experts say that although mobile operators receive various financial benefits from the government, subscribers continue to suffer from call drops, weak networks and slow internet. Mohiuddin Ahmed, president of the Mobile Phone Consumers Association, demanded more effective measures to improve service quality.
